Joe & Bev Bushelman

As a member of the Cru Campus Ministry Coaching Center, Joe builds (through coaching) and launches gospel movements on campuses and in communities within the Hispanic college community (Destino), primarily, though not entirely. Through virtual and long-distance coaching, Joe communicates vision, ministry opportunities, and trains student leaders and Cru staff interns to reach their campus for Christ. Additionally, Joe participates in a working group that is determining how to reach incoming college freshmen through the use of social media and app-based platforms. Throughout the year, there are various student conferences and training that he helps to staff. This gives him the opportunity to be in the same physical space as a person he is coaching.

As a Mission Trips Specialist, Bev works for the Cru Campus Ministry on the Mission Trip Operations team. A virtual team, her 10 teammates are spread all across the U.S. from California to New Hampshire. Her team provides logistical coaching to Cru field staff all across the U.S. as they lead short and longer term mission trips, both in the States and Internationally. Bev serves as a knowledge expert who is up to date on cutting edge tools, resources, and sending requirements while guiding and training mission trip leaders in the operational planning and preparation for their trips. Every year in January, Bev helps to staff (in-person) a training conference for all of the summer mission team leaders who will be taking teams of college and highschool students around the world the following summer. Additionally, Bev makes the flight arrangements for all of our missionaries who are serving one-year terms overseas in the Middle East. By the use of technology, Bev can meet "face to face" with trip leaders from all across the U.S. helping them to prepare for their specific mission trip.
